LANDLORD AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Landlord Ambassador Program aims to stabilize the physical and financial health of small medium-sized multi-family buildings (5-50 units) by helping owners navigate process of applying for Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) and other low-cost financing options. With the support of the State Attorney General, HCR and Enterprise Community Partners, the Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc. (LIHP) is now providing assistance across both Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The Landlord Ambassadors Program is a pilot program created to help small landlords and building owners access resources and services that will stabilize the property well into the future. The Long Island Housing Partnership can assist in the following ways:

1) Assist owners to submit loan applications to HCR and/or or private lenders for major capital improvements or to re-finance existing debts/liens, and assisting owners fill vacancies and conduct tenant screening.
2) Refer owners to third property managers if requested
3) Refer third parties i.e. architect, engineer, accountant, attorney, general contractor, etc. if required.

LIHP can assist landlords who may be facing foreclosure, have financial and/or operating issues as well as those whose buildings may have significant liens and/or violations and may be in need of rehabilitation work on your properties. We look forward to working with you and hope that we can apply our expertise to assist you to identify and address property related issues you might be facing at this time.

Each owner and property is unique and our approach and action plan will be customized to your needs and goals. We also are familiar with and can help you access public resources including low interest loans and other funds to help stabilize or improve your property. Once we have this preliminary information, we can schedule an inspection of your building.
